Finn Anderson

Finn is a Scottish musical theatre writer, composer and singer-songwriter working throughout the UK and internationally. He studied Music at the University of Highlands and Islands before completing an MA in Musical Theatre Writing at Goldsmiths,University of London.Musical theatre writing includes Islander(Scottish Tour, Edinburgh Fringe, Paines Plough Roundabout, Made In Scotland Showcase 2019), LIMBO: City of Dreams and A Mother’s Song (Royal Conservatoire of Scotland/American Music Theatre Project),Come Hell or High Water (Citizens Theatre), Streets (Hackney Empire/The Cockpit, ‘Best New Musial’ nominee,Off West End Awards), Alba (Edinburgh Fringe, MTN Award nominee).

Supported by CreativeScotland, British Council Brazil and National Theatre of Scotland, Finn is currently developing The Bow Maker, one of eight new headline works at BEAM Festival 2018. Finn will also undertake a residency at the American Music Theatre Project (Northwestern University,Chicago) in 2020 to further develop A Mother’s Song. Finn is a 2019 finalist in the Stiles and Drewe Best New Song Award.Composition includes work with Citizens Theatre, Scottish Dance Theatre, Scottish Youth Theatre, British Youth Music Theatre, Upswing Aerial, Hikapee Circus, The Barn Theatre, the Bush Theatre, and acclaimed video artist Rachel Maclean (Tate/National GalleriesScotland/Venice Biennale). As a singer-songwriter Finn has released two EPs, with his debut full-length album released June 2019.
