Eclipse / 9-24 Aug

12/08/2019 12:00 pm - 24/08/2019 Venue 163, Lauriston Halls - Small Hall

What happens when darkness strikes, unexpected? How do night and day affect the human soul? In a semi-staged recital, mainly sung in English, Daïmon invites you on a journey told by poets and composers. In Eclipse, three singers, a pianist and a flautist explore classical and modern repertoire, from Purcell to Crumb, through the prism of light and darkness. Daïmon is a collaborative project of young and enthusiastic performers coming from across Europe who met at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. They offer shows of depth and quality, with musical and dramatic unity.
